I think there was two elements: The correction + Bitcoin Cash moves. The underlying problems with tx time and fee remain for bitcoin to resolve.

with bitcoin never say few days. last 2 corrections happened in 1-2 days, and it took BTC another day to get back on ATH. this coin is insane, stay clear of it
