Time To Take Profits In This High Flyer Short

Lemonade, Inc.NYSE

Description

This is a pretty simple post telling you to sell / short this stock. It's gone too far in too short an amount of time, and you can expect to buy it back lower in the next two weeks. I like the company but will be bidding lower for it. Cheers!

literally just noticing that the company did a secondary when I was typing my post up. Seems like they agree with me! Will be available to buy much lower in the coming weeks, IMO.

It's not a secondary, it's primary follow-on offering.

Today was a good day to sell OTM options on TSLA..... $$$$

I look at that and think buy a $175 put w a 2 week strike and sell a corresponding $150. Thoughts??

I have not yet understood people's fascination with this one. Apparently "AI Maya" decides to insure people within two minutes. And "AI Jim" pays out a claim after a three second conversation. So its no wonder how they hit a million active subscribers. But yet I haven't seen any metric on the quality and risk of the underwriting. And so most likely what they are doing is not dissimilar to the subprime loan era when banks took a whole bunch of bad debt and sold it off with a mix of good debt to other banks. In this case it's risky insurance instruments.

"AI Michael Burry" is going to take two seconds to short it. haha

I thought PLMR had a much better business model to reach underinsured markets by breaking down segments to smaller parts so that an actuary can more specifically assess the risk. But the market seems to love sweet Lemonade.
