Grahn Gyllene Kors

Bitcoin / TetherBittrex

Description

Grahn Gyllene Kors strategy is an idea that was brought to me and I was asked to create for the client to be used as an early alert signal for when BTC 0.05% is trending. The client has graciously now decided that this should be shared with everyone.

This is an EMA / Trend Explorer useful for identifying trends before EMA's cross and also identifying and experimenting with various EMA lengths and candle trends. There will be a companion Alert study for this released soon in which signals may be sent to the user via sms or email.

EMA Fast and EMA Slow may be adjusted in length and color and their display may be turned on or off.

Bullish X% F/S controls what percentage the EMA Fast should be above EMA Slow before considered bullish and is represented by the Green band on the chart.

Neutral > Y% < is what percentage surrounding the EMA Slow should be considered neutral and is represented by the Yellow band on the chart.

Bearish Z% S/F controls what percentage the EMA Fast should be below EMA Slow before considered bearish and is represented by the Red band on the chart.

Trend Enable determines whether Trend Strength is enforced in addition to EMA divergence.

Bull Strength is the number of candles ranging from 0 to 5 that should be consecutively higher in value before considered to be a trend.

Bear Strength is the number of candles ranging from 0 to 5 that should be consecutively lower in value before considered to be a trend.

Notes de version

Fixed an issue where number of Bullish candles set in Trend Enable were not being properly inserted into the buying logic.

Notes de version

Release Notes: Correction to above release notes - Fixed an issue where number of Bullish candles set in Trend Enable were not being properly inserted into the SELL logic.

Notes de version

Complete overhaul now with new strategy capabilities!...

This is an EMA / Trend Explorer & Strategy useful for identifying trends before EMA's cross and also identifying and experimenting with various EMA lengths and candle trends. There is also a companion Alerts study for this in which trend signals may be sent to the user via sms or email AND/OR buy and sell alerts may be sent to bots for automated trading of this strategy. Once you have optimized your settings and backtested with this strategy, apply your same settings into the Alerts study and create your alerts.

NOTE: This script does not require access from me, simply open Indicators on chart and search for "Grahn"

Put it in chart and it just says error: couldn't compile script.
joeadante3b
@joeadante3b, Oh, its only for bitcoin? I thought it could be used for any trading instrument
allanster
@joeadante3b, odd that you saw errors. It was built for cryptocurrencies but should work with any instrument. I loaded AAPL just now to check and loaded okay so I'm not sure why you are seeing the error.
joeadante3b
@allanster, I'm not getting an error anymore but the bands don't show up on my chart, nor trade signals.

@joeadante3b, I would suggest removing script from chart and favorites, logging out, restarting browser, logging back in, and then try adding once more. There are occasions where this fixes corruption. As far as the trade signals, it is buying BELOW the red band and ABOVE the green band, so if you have your ranges set too high there will be no trade activity.

@joeadante3b, another member here @NGBaltic has advised me that Chrome browser caching can cause some issues with TradingView's behavior. Advised to enable dev tools within Chrome and disable caching, and after a few browser reloads it often clears up any issues.
joeadante3b
@allanster, thanks, i tried that and the bands still don't appear unfortunately.
allanster
@joeadante3b, then unfortunately I'd say you have an issue specific to your account. I just loaded up a default TradingView page without even creating a user (so not even signed in) and I can see the bands and trade activity just fine in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.

Sign out, goto TradingView.com, load chart ARDRBTC (Bittrex) 15min period and add indicator, format indicator with Bullish 0.5 Neutral 0.1 Bearish 0.5 and you should see not only bands but lots of trades. If you do this indicates there is something happening with your individual TradingView account.
