The lack of economic data on the US economic calendar and falling US Treasury yields weighed on the USD, providing support to the NZD/USD pair. The pair is currently trading near 0.5901, up 0.31% on the day.
Additionally, fears of deflation in China were erased as China's inflation data improved in August, which should lift the New Zealand Dollar (NZD).
