Here is a simple straight forward year to date comparison of PYPL, SQ, RKT, BAC, WFC & C.

In the race of Fin vs Fintech, is this likened to the tortoise vs the hair, or is this more like the duck-billed platypus facing extinction? lol. As we learned in science, the duck-billed platypus is the only mammal that lays eggs. "The platypus is among nature's most unlikely animals. In fact, the first scientists to examine a specimen believed they were the victims of a hoax. The animal is best described as a hodgepodge of more familiar species: the duck (bill and webbed feet), beaver (tail), and otter (body and fur). Males are also venomous (credit: nationalgeographic.com)". And as the story goes of the tortoise vs the hare, the story concerns a "Hare who ridicules a slow-moving Tortoise. Tired of the Hare's arrogant behavior, the Tortoise challenges him to a race. The hare soon leaves the tortoise behind and, confident of winning, takes a nap midway through the race. When the Hare awakes however, he finds that his competitor, crawling slowly but steadily, has arrived before him (credit: wikipedia.org)".

Now, back to these companies. So on a year to date % comparison the current results of the race between Fin vs Fintech, are as follows:
SQ = +87%
PYPL = +75%
BAC = 24%
RKT = +13%
C = -2%
WFC = -14%

In conclusion, I think that as long as the major banks pivot to technology and start laying eggs (lol), they'll not just survive, they'll make substantial gains on the Fintech companies. And as long as the Fintech companies don't get complacent with their strides, they can stay ahead. The debate will continue, as the race has not ended, but clearly Fintech is way ahead year to date. Good luck and happy trading friends...
