USM2 is crashing

USM2 has been shrinking since 2021 which is unprecedented. Why does everyone just assume it will stop and go up again? Why dont more ppl assume that the TREND of shrinking will resume, at least short term?

Lets assume the US gov defaults on its debt this year. What will that do to M2? Yea the US gov will never default, thats the story, i know. Thats the acceptable and mainstream view. But it cant keep borrowing forver.. Come on? Besides, the dumping of the dollar as an asset is happening now. Many countries are tarting to trade in other currencies so what has the US gov to lose? It will most likely default imo. And what will that do to M2?
