The ATM VSA Indicator is a powerful tool used in chart analysis to interpret the relationship between price movements, trading volume and the spread (range) of the price bars. Based on Volume Spread Analysis (VSA) methodology, it is designed to identify key market behaviours that can help to anticipate future price action and market turning points, focusing on the principles of Sign of Strength (SOS) and Sign of Weakness (SOW). The indicator serves as a pre-warning tool, is not a buy/sell-signal system and includes several main components: - 3 key SOSs: Potential Market Strength (PmS), Shakeout (SO) and Test (TE), - 3 key SOWs Potential Market Weakness (PmW), Upthrust (UT) and No Demand (ND) - Potential Trigger Bars (PT), which could not be immediately interpreted as SOS or SOW, but could later play a significant role in market moves. All SOSs and SOWs are shown on the chart by triangles below and above the price bar respectively and also distinguished by the different shades of the colour: dark when the VSA principle is confirmed and light when the VSA principle is not confirmed. Potential Trigger Bars are shown by the grey-coloured circles below the price bar. Additional advanced features: - Selection of Trigger Bar sensitivity defining the minimal number of bars the volume is the biggest on - Filtering of the Test and No Demand VSA Principles - Different bar colouring schemes (simple trending system or bar’s strength/weakness) - Different VSA principle’s confirmation strategies (classic VSA or using strength/weakness of the following bars) - Stop management tool to help traders manage the trade - Retail Trader’s intention tool (simple moving average) demonstrating typical retail traders’ behaviour in different market phases - Showing up and alerting recent VSA Setup. - Filtering bullish and bearish alerts By using this indicator, traders can make more informed decisions about entering and exiting trades based on the market’s underlying strength or weakness, while avoiding unreliable signals that can lead to poor trading outcomes.
