2018 will be solution driven and tech adoption driving value of previously overlooked platforms such as DASH/ETH/NEO. The rise of the Altcoin will define 2018 (that's just my opinion)
Large institutional money waiting on the side-lines for futures trading to get established as well as large hedge funds geared specifically to crypto gains, a boost but by far just the beginning of what will be a thoroughly interesting and exciting year for the Crypto-space. Word of mouth around the Christmas dinner table will spread the word to the general population, FOMO will be another driver but new money will arrive and I expect the market cap to be north of $500 Billion before the end of the summer.
Look for Altcoins to recover with greater opportunities to accumulate BTC by swing trading NEO/DASH/OMG/BCC/ETH, all at USD ATH's but very low in terms of Sitoshi's especially in contrast to Aug-17 highs. BTC has sucked the value from the Alts they will be back with a vengeance in 2018 to claim their stake but also their place as tech front runners currently overshadow by the first to market and current king pin BTC.
The whole space will be healthier for a correction of 25% and market confidence will be even greater when it recovers.
