C Citigroup Options Ahead of Earnings

If you haven`t bought C here:

Then analyzing the options chain of C Citigroup prior to the earnings report this week,
I would consider purchasing the 47usd strike price Calls with
an expiration date of 2023-8-18,
for a premium of approximately $1.23.
If these options prove to be profitable prior to the earnings release, I would sell at least half of them.

Trade fermée: cible de profit atteinte

C Citigroup reached $48.55 after the earnings and the calls were in the money and extremely profitable, but they went down before the market close.
My gameplay is to close my winning positions after the earnings, in the first 5 minutes of trading, while the volatility is high!
