Though under 103 if happening it be a brutal drop sequence.

The only thing that favors USDJPY bullishness is intervention by BOJ which they have started hinting. With 0 interest rate they are not been able to weaken the currency so they are throwing hints on the intervention. Else tech wise its a no brainer not to SELL USDJPY..
There isn't a truly definite lvl one can pin point on it; rather if short on the pair to stay short till it clearly shows it wants to reverse. Off daily chart 105 carries significance for reason explained within the chart..

USDJPY Daily - We have 2 concrete breakouts. This by itself shows there is room to the downside...
Secondly everyone will say USDCAD has been impressive ever since falling out of 1.46XX; and well CADJPY shows it wants to test Sub 81 zone and that also tells me USDJPY till not clear it wants to rise is a falling knife likely to stay heading lower..

Last but not least.. Check this 2 hrs and a characteristic play on the pair.. Your best guess is a minor new low & halt and rise; else as said it's a falling knife..
