Oracle Lands 5G Contract with NATO to Support Cyber Defense Training

Moins d'1 minute de lecture

Oracle (ORCL, Financials) secured a contract with NATO's Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence to provide private 5G networks for war-gaming and cyber defense operations.

Partnering with Druid Software, Oracle will deliver secure 5G connectivity to support critical infrastructure protection and data-sharing during training exercises.

NATO tested Oracle's 5G Security Edge Protection Proxy on Druid's Raemis core network, running over Oracle's portable Roving Edge Devices. CCDCOE Director Tonis Saar said secure 5G adds a vital layer to NATO's communication systems, enhancing speed and resilience in the field.

The agreement follows a September deal that saw NATO's communications agency move mission-critical systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

While financial details weren't disclosed, the new contract reinforces Oracle's expanding role in defense-grade cloud and network technologies.
