Time-layered Liquidity Sentiment

1 697
This is using the same base indicator as our other "Liquidity Sentiment" indicator, but it separates the liquidity into "time layers".
The thickest line shows the most immediate liquidity sentiment, whereas the thinnest shows the current sentiment in the perspective of a large time period.

The use of colour and values in this indicator is as follows:

  1. The indicator being more red and closer to 1 indicates higher Liquidity
  2. The indicator being more green and closer to 0 indicates higher Illiquidity

Please see description below of the "Liquidity Sentiment" indicator to familiarise yourself with the underlying script:

This indicator provides insights into traders buying and selling sentiment. It is not directly related to traditional momentum indicators, thereby adding value in decision-making. This may allow traders to better predict price movement for more strategic entry and exit points.

What does the Indicator show?

A drop of Liquidity Sentiment suggests more traders are willing to pay the Ask, as they are keen to buy. (In this situation, the indicator moves towards the Ask label).

A rising Liquidity Sentiment suggests more traders are eager to sell, and willing to accept the Bid. (In this situation, the indicator moves towards the Bid label).

Logic:

Why does a stock go up?
Because more traders want to buy than sell, creating illiquidity.
Why does a stock go down?
Because more traders want to sell than buy, creating liquidity.
