Daily Profile Bias (Manual Inputs)

134
Daily Profile Bias (Manual Inputs) is a simple “scorecard” indicator designed to turn your Market/Volume Profile signals into a clear daily directional bias. Because TradingView scripts can’t directly pull POC/Value Area/Profile shape data from the built-in Profile tools, this indicator uses manual dropdown inputs for your key profile signals.

Each signal is scored +1 / 0 / -1, summed into a Total Score, and displayed in an info box on the chart. The final output labels the day as Bullish, Bearish, or Neutral based on your chosen thresholds.

How it works:

Read yesterday’s profile + today’s open context.

Select the appropriate option for each signal in the indicator settings.

The table updates instantly with individual scores and a total daily bias.

Inputs (signals):

Shape
Rates the day’s profile structure (e.g., P-shape bullish, b-shape bearish; other shapes neutral).

POC vs previous day
Compares Previous Days Point of Control locations (Above = +1, Below = -1).

Value Area vs previous day
Compares Previous Days Value Area positioning (Above = +1, Below = -1).

Opening price vs previous day VA
Measures where the session opens relative to yesterday’s Value Area (Above = +1, Below = -1, Inside/Neutral = 0).

Excess
Indicates strong rejection at extremes (Excess below = +1, Excess above = -1).

Poor high / low
Lack of aggression towards to lows or highs of a previous day (Poor high = +1, Poor low = -1).

Output:

Total Score = sum of all signal scores

Bias is derived from thresholds:

Bullish when Total ≥ Bullish threshold

Bearish when Total ≤ Bearish threshold

Otherwise Neutral
