BB Meow Mix [acatwithwithcharts]

acatwithcharts Mis à jour
This is my experimental BBand remix script which add a great deal of different ways to generate the basis and width of bands, including several different takes on ways to weight for volume. In its current form, it displays two sets of bands at different lengths.

Credit to @astram22 and Mark Whistler's Volatility Illuminated for the idea to use multiple BBands in this manner; I've taken the idea and started running with it by adding and experimenting with lots of bells and whistles to try to optimize further.
Notes de version:
This is a major update with a lot of new features and tweaks.

I've separated the calculations for basis and STDEV into separate menus. There's more flexibility to mix and match different calculations for each. I've tried to clarify the names of the STDEV types a little bit.

I've added a menu of default lengths and widths.

I spent a lot of time trying to come up with color schemes that work reasonably together to my eye even after one adds more than 2 bands. There was a lot of trial and error to find in which what ways Pinescript plays nicely with and arbitrarily rejects changing plot function inputs.

I've added EMA and ZLEMA as possible basis calculations - while I have no ideas on how best to use them in BBands of if there's a great way to use them at all, they're now in there to experiment with. I plan to add some more later, and perhaps add a way to mix and match on custom bands (though right now you could achieve that effect with multiple instances of the script).
Notes de version:
This update adds a lot more customization when set to use custom band periods and multipliers, allowing individual selection of different basis averages for mixing and matching. It also adds a couple more options for possible basis lines (RMA, TEMA).
Notes de version:
This update fixes a menu inconsistency related to the stdev() function menu option across several of my indicators that had led to bugs in the other indicators.
Notes de version:
This is a minor update to squash a couple of minor bugs related to the 4th custom band incorrectly using the 3rd custom band length and one of the default band widths being set incorrectly.
Notes de version:
This update overhauls the MA and STDEV calculations and menus to allow unweighted, volume-weighted, or volume-weighted STDEV relative to a wide variety of moving average types. It has options for "moving" STDEV of these types which measures STDEV relative to the moving basis or static STDEV which measures it relative to the current bar. Selecting "SMA" and "Unweighted STDEV" replicates the stdev() function and "Unweighted Moving STDEV" replicates the previous "Unweighted STDEV" behavior.

This calculation occasionally times out the indicator. Changing symbols or TFs will reload it and generally resolve the issue. If you just want to use ordinary SMA and STDEV, using the "lite" version of this indicator should avoid this issue completely.
Notes de version:
Adds a feature for plotting 3 additional MAs without bands. Relabels "VWAP" as "VWMA" which is the correct description (I've frequently seen the terms used interchangeably in crypto, where trading is 24/7 rather than confined to daily sessions, hence the prior labeling).
Notes de version:
Updated to change the attribution in the title from “acatwithcharts” to “SharkCharts.live”.

I'm excited to announce that we're putting the finishing touches on a subscription service for the volatility theory indicators, and assuming no hiccups will launch them within days. Subscriptions will be available in several packages through SharkCharts.live

Current pricing and subscription details will be kept up-to-date on SharkCharts.live
Notes de version:
Added LMSA as a MA option.

Changes to handling of VWMA and unweighted band SMA which should improve efficiency when using those settings.
Notes de version:
Added a default for 50/1.25, 50/2.2, 50/3.2, 200/1.25 based on some recent interest from subscribers in the SharkCharts Discord.
Notes de version:
Bug fix to ZLEMA and one of the default settings.
Notes de version:
Based on subscriber feedback in our Discord, I've added a 1m and 15m 50/200 configuration for attempting to catch early signs of parabolic exhaustion as an additional default setting.

Given that this is a particularly speculative use case using an empirical observation from cryptocurrency on micro TF charts, I think it's particularly important here to warn people if they try to use this setting that (A) it shouldn't be done without checking charts on higher timeframes to make sure they aren't missing the forest for the trees, (B) micro TF scalping needs to consider whether trades still make sense from a R:R standpoint after accounting for fees, and (C) this use case was derived from the most liquid cryptocurrencies and particularly using spread charts and indexes which artificially imply even more liquidity than truly exists, so there are some inherent assumptions of continuous trading, extremely high liquidity, and relatively high volatility.
Notes de version:
Realized I'd introduced a color bug on one of the defaults with my previous update - this update fixes that bug.
Notes de version:
Updated to v4 and adds several additional MA types.
Notes de version:
I'm making a round of updates to my scripts after testing some of the new Pinescript features and looking for ways to address loading issues that have arisen from changes over the past 6 months or so as to what thresholds cause scripts to fail on the back end.
