Percentage Price OscillatorThe Percentage Price Oscillator (PPO) is a momentum oscillator that measures the difference between two moving averages as a percentage of the larger moving average. As with its cousin, MACD, the Percentage Price Oscillator is shown with a signal line, a histogram and a center line. Signals are generated with signal line crossovers, center line crossovers, and divergences. More info here and here .
The indicator allows you to change the type of all moving averages (Simple, Exponential, Weighted, Volume-weighted, Triple EMA or a moving average that uses RSI ). The indicator also allows you to volume weight it(turned on by default), which will turn it into an indicator very similar to the Volume-Weighted Moving Average Convergence Divergence (VW-MACD) first used by Buff Pelz Dormeier in 2002 and described in detail in his book "Investing with Volume Analysis: Identify, Follow, and Profit from Trends". If you want to weight the oscillator against the true range instead of volume this is also possible. By default, this will be done automatically for assets that do not support volume. By checking the box "MACD" you can also turn this indicator into a standard MACD indicator.
ATR adjusted MACDWhen running MACD, it can be useful to compare the value of the MA difference to other values. In other words, is a particular stock or futures contract at a more extreme MACD value than another. This can be done by dividing by the price, however, that doesn't adjust for volatility differences. Using ATR, one can adjust for price and volatility at the same time, allowing comparisons between securities more easily.
STC Indicator - A Better MACD [SHK]The Schaff Trend Cycle indicator is the product of combining Slow Stochastics and the moving average convergence/divergence (MACD). The MACD has a reputation as a trend indicator, but it's also notorious for lagging due to its slow responsive signal line. The improved signal line gives the STC its relevance as an early warning sign to detect currency trends.

Awesome Oscillator and MACD HistogramThis is a quick script that combines two standard indicators, the Awesome Oscillator and MACD histogram, to highlight the beginnings of periods of fast price movement (divergence between the two). Since MACD's EMA responds more quickly than AO's SMA, look for periods of green over gold as a bullish signal, and red under blue as a bearish signal.
Of course both indicators are lagging in nature, but the presence of this divergence often leads larger, continued movement in the same direction.

Price Action Trading System v0.3 by JustUncleLThis is an updated and improved version of my "Price Action Trading strategy". I have added two extra optional filters, one is a trend direction filter based on the MACD slow EMA(17), blue line, and the other is a RSI(7) filter which works similarly to CCI(14) but slightly different dynamics (thank you to gianfranco60 for the suggestion). Also made a couple of corrections:
- input for lenLower minval=1 should be maxval=-1
- one bar pullback did not reset trigger, missing some alerts
Some Notes about usage:
- this is an alert indicator not a signal generator, each alert is a strong trend continuance candidate,
but should be treated on it's own merits by looking at chart dynamics and market conditions.
- will work well on trending markets only.
- works best on the first alert after MACD cross over.
- don't take trades when MACD and signal are close together.
- don't trade when channel and slow MA are flat or close together or
chopper (yellow and blue MA cross over quickly over short period).
